About Joel Kleyer
Joel Kleyer founded Gemini Analytics to help growing businesses gain the financial clarity and analytical insight they need to scale with confidence. With more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, and data analytics, Joel combines the precision of a finance executive with the curiosity of a data scientist.
Throughout his career, Joel has built and led finance and analytics functions for several fast-growing, private equity–backed companies. As Director of Finance & Analytics at The Learning House, he created the FP&A function from the ground up, supporting the company’s growth from $8 million to $60 million in revenue and playing a key role in building the business through its $200 million acquisition by John Wiley & Sons. At Capture Higher Ed, he now serves as Vice President of Finance, where he led a financial restructuring, implemented ASC 606 revenue recognition, and built board-level reporting to support a successful investor recapitalization.
Joel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, an MBA, and a Master of Science in Analytics, all from Bellarmine University. A licensed Certified Public Accountant, he blends technical rigor with a modern analytical approach, making him one of the few finance leaders equally comfortable closing the books, designing a multi-year financial model, or building a SQL-based data mart to drive real-time decision-making.
Outside of work, Joel lives in Louisville, Kentucky, where he enjoys playing board games with friends, playing basketball, and all things UK athletics.
